If you wish to use the Packing feature in GrowData, you'll firstly need to set up your packing containers & associated costs
Setup your Packing Containers
In the Setup Menu, click on 'Packing'. Complete the following for each container type you will be packing into:
- Enter in the Container Description (this is what will appear on packing reports/connotes etc.)
- Enter the Packed Weight (in kilos)
- Enter the Packing Cost for that container type. Please note, there is not currently a field for levies, so it is recommended to incorporate this in your packing cost if required.
4. Add the Freight Costs for each destination. Note, you'll need to firstly add the destination options so that they appear on the selection dropdown list.
Setup a generic Waste container
If you want to track wastage, create another line with container description 'Waste', put the packed weight as 1 and tick the box 'waste/reject container'.
Setup List of Size/Count Options
Create the list of options for fruit sizes or counts that you will be packing into your containers. For example you may pack Mangoes as '10, 12 & 14's' which represents number of mangoes fitted into a box. Note this is descriptive only and not used for calculating weights etc.
