Create the Crops and Varieties that are planted within your farm
Crops
Enter a list of all crop types grown on your farm. You only need to enter the crop once
For example, if you grow 5 varieties of table grapes, you only need to create 'Table Grapes' the one time in the Crops screen.
The Bin Weights on this screen should reflect the average weight of a standard bin. Don't worry if you have variations, we're going to revisit this when we get to 1.12 Picking Setup.
For example, you grow Oranges and the average bin weight is 450 kilos, this is what should be entered.
Varieties
Enter the name of each variety grown on your farm. You only need to list each variety once. Link each variety to a crop which will be displayed in the dropdown box in the Crops column.
We recommend entering a projected pick date for each variety (we suggest choosing the earliest possible pick date). When chemicals with withholding periods are applied, the program will check to see that you are not stepping over a projected pick date. You are not expected to change the dates each year (hence why only the day and month are recorded).
