GrowData Ops and Irrigate Update 6.9.0

Release 6.9.0

Irrigate

Save time with flexible recurring irrigation schedules
Recurring schedules let you set irrigation programs to repeat daily, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, including selected weekdays, repeat intervals, and an end date. Regular irrigation programs are easier to plan, with less manual scheduling and fewer missed or duplicated repeat runs. This Functionality supports the already exiting Continuous Loop Scheduling where programs can run repeatedly with a single setup in continues cycles.

Catch pump flow issues before schedules are saved**
Existing shift flow warnings now use pump and valve assignment information from the PLC to check shifts against the assigned pump’s minimum and maximum flow limits. This improves warning accuracy and reduces the risk of scheduling mistakes, pump flow issues, and incompatible valve combinations. A new ‘Under min’ tag has been added for shifts below the assigned pump’s minimum flow requirement. Irrigate also prevents shifts from being saved when valves are assigned to different pumps, and the Valves page now shows the pump assigned to each valve to make troubleshooting easier.

Customise map layers to make irrigation issues easier to find
New map layer controls let you show or hide items such as pressure sensors and pumps, making the irrigation map easier to read. You can reduce map clutter, focus on the infrastructure that matters most, and identify possible issues across the farm more quickly. You can also switch between terrain and satellite map views for better farm context. When you click a block that contains pressure sensors, a side panel now shows pressure information for that block, including status and other key details.

Find devices connected to your block faster
The Block page now shows linked Pressure Sensors and DataLoggers in dedicated columns. You can click See Pressure Sensors or See Data Loggers to view the devices attached to that block. This makes it quicker to check what monitoring equipment is connected without searching through separate device pages

Link your Davis weather stations with Irrigate.
Connect your Davis weather stations to your existing DataLoggers to enable a much clearer, local view of your weather. This is just the first step in bringing your data together to help you make more precise irrigation decisions.

Understand cancellation emails faster and act sooner
Irrigation cancellation emails have been redesigned into clearer sections, with the most important action placed at the top. The updated layout makes it easier to see what has changed and what needs attention.

Manage pressure sensors with clearer farm-friendly naming
The LoRa page under Management has been renamed to Pressure Sensors. The page now reflects what you are managing in the product, rather than the network technology behind it, making the terminology clearer and more consistent.

Find alarm history faster when reviewing irrigation issues
The Alarms history page has moved out of Management and into Reporting in the top-level navigation. Historical alarm information is now quicker to access when reviewing issues, checking past activity, or investigating recurring problems.

Cleaner Irrigate screens by removing unused irrigation items
Unused lateral and pivot items have been removed across Irrigate. Screens are now cleaner and more focused on the irrigation objects you actively use.

Requires an update of your existing irrigation system.**

Irrigate – Bug fixes

  • Fixed the Overview Map so block heatmaps display correctly and the map opens focused on the farm. Sensor placement has also been corrected for more accurate map display. (Hotfix)
  • Fixed deleted pending schedules so they no longer reappear after actions are taken on active schedules. (Hotfix)
  • Fixed block deletion for farms without valves, so blocks can now be removed successfully without validation errors. (Hotfix)
Ops

Manage complex spray jobs in one master record
Master Spray Records make it easier to manage spray applications that run over multiple days and involve multiple operators or machines. Complex spray activity for larger farms can now be captured in one place, giving you more complete and accurate operational records.

Select the right blocks faster when recording fertigation
Blocks can now be linked directly to irrigation valves in Block Setup, with assigned valves displayed throughout fertigation workflows and block records. Valve visibility during block selection makes it easier to confirm fertigation activities are being recorded against the correct blocks, reducing manual checking and improving irrigation and fertiliser record accuracy.

Create application records faster across multiple block groups
Spray Diary, Fertigation, and Dry Application forms now support selecting multiple block groups at the same time. This reduces repeated data entry and better matches how work is often planned and completed across multiple areas.

Adjust application quantities more easily across blocks
You can now click a quantity cell to adjust either the percentage or raw quantity in one place. Fine-tuning applications across blocks is simpler, with less manual calculation and more control over how product quantities are distributed.

Track breakdown downtime for more accurate machinery and labour costs
Breakdown time can now be recorded against equipment maintenance and spray downtime. Downtime can be deducted from task hours, giving you more accurate machinery and labour cost calculations.

Know what to do next after creating your Ops account
After creating an Ops account, you will now see a confirmation page with clear instructions to contact support so your account can be connected to the correct farm and permissions. This gives you a clear next step after registration, so you know what needs to happen before you start using Ops.

Ops – Bug fixes

  • Fixed required field indicators on the Spray Record form so mandatory fields are clearer.
  • Fixed an issue where “Per Tree” fertiliser quantities could appear to save temporarily but not persist after the record was closed and reopened.
  • Fixed a layout and freezing issue in Chemical Management when linking rate and regulatory information to large crop lists.
  • Fixed new Ops user access so newly created users can log in successfully without the application sometimes crashing. (Hotfix)
  • Fixed purchase price calculations so decimal prices, such as $16.99, are converted correctly and no longer cause validation errors. (Hotfix)
  • Improved shed deletion feedback so you now see a clear message if you try to delete the last shed on a farm, which must remain in place. (Hotfix)
  • Fixed spray instruction sheet generation so sheets can be created from a new spray record without the page getting stuck loading. (Hotfix)
  • Fixed spray instruction sheet details so planned vat units and full vat quantities now display correctly based on the selected machine. (Hotfix)
