Simplified Harvest App Workflow 2

Suggested workflow for when it is only necessary to collect bins picked per block

The GrowData Harvest app is designed to be flexible and accommodate your processes on the ground. To get full value from it, we suggest checking out the general Daily Guide For Using the GrowData Harvest App. However, if this is too complex or not suitable for your operations, the simplified options below may work better for you.

If you wish to use the options below, please reach out to our Grower Success team so that we can adjust the app settings for you behind the scenes. We are also here to help if you have any other questions on how we can support your Harvest processes.

Simplified Harvest App Workflow 1

(Internal note: Bin and Card options must be toggled off in Harvest Admin)

SIMPLIFIED WORKFLOW 2:

✔ Records number of bins off a block

✖ Does NOT record Picker hours

✖ Does NOT record who-picked-what bin (and therefore doesn't require picker barcodes)

✖ Does NOT record bin traceability (therefore does not required bin numbers or bin barcodes)

Setup: Create a 'Generic' Picker to allocate to your Harvest Records
If you're not concerned about tracking hours or bins per individual Picker, simply create a Generic picker to allocate to your Harvest Records.

If you use Harvest Contractors, it's best to create a Generic picker for each Contractor, this way you'll still be able to run picking reports by Contractor (which may be particularly helpful for invoice comparison).

Log into the GrowData program to set up this Generic Picker.

Step by step instructions:

  1. Log in to the Harvest app
  2. Select the Properties and Blocks being picked today:

  3. Create a Harvest Record for each Bin Picked.
    - The record will default to the current date and time, adjust if required
    - Ensure the bin type is correct
    - Ensure the correct $ per bin is selected (this is the cost to pick that bin)
    - The app will assume it is a full bin, but if not, slide % filled to represent the correct amount
    - Select the relevant block that has been picked
    - Select Picker > choose the generic Picker from the list (example below)

    - Once all details are correct, select ‘Done’

4. Before finishing for the day, check the Summary page

It's important to ensure your Harvest Records have been marked green, indicating that they have successfully synced with the GrowData program. Your device must be connected to internet (either wifi or mobile data) to sync data to the cloud/GrowData program.
